How the radar decides
The classification logic is deterministic: the same profile and the same vacancy always produce the same result.
Evidence-first matching
Every decision is built from the evidence you entered: credentials with issuing authority and status, recorded sea service, and work authorizations by jurisdiction. Nothing else contributes to the outcome.
Strict mandatory-requirement gate
Requirements are split into MUST HAVE, PREFERRED / DESIRABLE and UNCLEAR. Only MUST HAVE items gate the decision. APPLY requires every material MUST HAVE to have VERIFIED evidence with no unresolved eligibility issue. A missing preferred or desirable item never produces PASS.
Planned qualifications are never treated as held
A credential marked PLANNED counts as absent until its status is changed to VERIFIED. Expired credentials are flagged for review rather than silently accepted.
Work rights are not inferred
Work authorization for a jurisdiction is only recognised when you have entered an entry for it with status VERIFIED. Nationality, geography preferences or previous sea service never imply work rights.
Privacy-first
The beta asks only for what matching needs. No passport or ID numbers, no home address, no medical diagnoses and no vaccination data. During the public beta your profile and saved vacancies stay in your own browser storage; hosted accounts come later.
Your responsibility
This is decision-support, not an eligibility ruling. Vacancy text is often incomplete or ambiguous, and the beta extractor is deterministic keyword matching. Verify official vacancy requirements and credential validity with the employer or issuing authority before applying.
Coming later
- • Hosted accounts and synced profiles instead of browser-only storage
- • Shared employer requirement libraries
- • Credential expiry reminders
